RAM
At least 32 MB free RAM plus at least 24M for each camera running at 320x240 resolution. E.g. for 4 camera version, each camera running at 320x240, then at least 32M + 24M x 4 = 128 M free memory is required.
*While a Word document is in average only 100K to 1M bytes, digital video in general requires the computer to process about 10 M BYTES PER SECOND just for 1 single channel. This is a large amount of data. A PII or PIII computer may be more than fast enough to do word processing, but it is in general considered not fast enough on digital video.
