NetCamCenter can add watermark to the recordings to assure the video files are authentic. Allows you to authenticate a video file later to examine whether any tampering has occurred. You can have NetCamCenter to generate watermark on every video file, or you can manually generate it only when it is needed. The later is preferred as it reduces your system loading. However, be aware it takes several minutes (depends on the data size) to watermark a video file if you choose to manually generate it.
Manually watermarking a video file
- To watermark a video file, NetCamCenter program must be running. If not, "Watermark the file" button will be grayed out.
- Click Select File to select a video. The tool will verify the watermark in the video. Click Watermark the file to watermark the video.

Enable watermark for all recordings
- To enable watermark on all recordings, click on Setup button, and then select Files tab.
- Check Watermark video files and then click on OK.

Verifying a video file
To verify if a video file has been modified,
- Go to Start. Click Programs. Click NetCamCenter Single Camera Edition. Click Digital Watermark.
- You may need to enter the correct passphrase (the one used to watermark the video file) if running on a different computer.
- Click Select File to select a video.
If the video file is not tampered, you will see "The watermark in file is intact."

If the file has been modified, or passphrase doesn't match, you'll see the following
- The passphrase is used to watermark the video. You can change the passphrase by updating the Passphrase field and then click Close.
