1. What is the difference between WebcamMail 1.0 and 2.0?

WebcamMail requires MAPI compliant email software to send email. Please follow the instruction to configure your email software program. If your email program doesn't support MAPI or you use webmail, i.e. Yahoo.com, you will need to save the video clip. Then add your video clip as attachment to send video mail.

3. WebcamMail does not playback the video clip after I clicked on "playback" button on the toolbar.

If this is your first time playing back Windows Media™ files with Windows Media Player 6.4, you can:

1. save the video clip by using the "Save" button on the toolbar

2. close WebcamMail

3. double click on the saved .wmv video clip file. Windows Media™ player will download the required codec and playback the file

4. start WebcamMail

Now you can playback the recorded video clip in WebcamMail.

4. How do I increase the quality of video or audio?

Click on Setup and then select Compression tab. Select higher Data Rate to enhance the quality of your video.

5. How do I change the video size?

Click on Setup and then select Video Format. Select the desired size for your video. If you are recording from DV camcorder, you can only use the default size.

6. When I clicked on Import and saw converting message, but WebcamMail suddenly disappeared?

DivX compressed, corrupted AVI/MPEG files are not supported in WebcamMail. To check what codec is used for the avi file, please start Explorer and then right-click on the avi file. Select properties and then click on Summary. In the Summary tab, you can see the codec listed in the Video Compression Codec section. If you have installed DivX codec, you will see DivX codec. If it is not displayed, that means your computer doesn't have the codec.

The avi files recorded by PC-CAM 600 camera has 7812 Hz audio sampling rate which is not standard sampling rate and is not supported by WebcamMail.

If the file is not corrupted, you may need to update the sound card's driver.

7. Can I use my camcorder with WebcamMail?

If the camcorder has an IEEE 1394 output, you can connect it with your PC. Otherwise, you need to install a video capture device to connect your camcorder with the PC.
