2. What cable do I need for WCSA440e?

You can use BNC, RCA or F-Type cable to connect to WCSA440e capture card.

3. What cameras can I use?

Wireless, IR, color, and black & white cameras with RCA or BNC jack video output are all compatible with our digital video recorders and WCSA440e cards. WCSA440e enables you to mix and match cameras to meet your needs.

4. I see gray or black image in the video window. What should I do?

Please click Setup on the video window. Go to the Device tab and click Video Source. Select correct NTSC or PAL mode for your camera.

5. I see blue screen when I start NetCamCenter.

If there is no video signal, you will see blue screen on a video window. Please check the camera's power cable. If the power cable is not connected, please plug it into the AC outlet.

6. Does WCSA440e record the video's separately or are they all recorded together like in a quad display?

Both WCSA400 and WCSA440e record videos in separate Windows Media files (each video channel is independent to each other), and goes to different video folders.

7. Can I use WCSA440e to record video from a DVD player or DV camcorder?

Yes, you can record video from a DVD player and camcorder.

8. How do I increase recording quality?

You can increase the recording quality by increasing the frame per second and compression data rate. To increase the data rate, click Setup on a video window. Click Compression tab and then select higher recording data rate.



9. I cannot install WCSA440e driver.
Please make sure you set the Plug and Play O/S setting to YES in Bios. You may also install the Intel INF Update Utility.



10. Can I use WCSA440e to record TV program?
Yes, you can use WCSA440e to record TV program with a TV tuner box.

11. I need to burn the recordings to VCD. What data rate should I use?
The compression data rate of MPEG1 is 1500 kbps. Please select data rate higher than 1500kbps.

12. How do I use my mobile phone to view the live image?

  1. Using iPhone for remote viewing
    • Start the browser
    • In the address bar, enter http:// IP address of NetCamCenter/pda.htm. For example, enter http://211.211.1.1/pda.htm

  2. Using Android phone for remote viewing
    • Start the browser
    • In the address bar, enter http:// IP address of NetCamCenter/pda.htm. For example, enter http://211.211.1.1/pda.htm

13. Can I run Windows Remote Desktop Connection with WCSA440e?

You may be able to run Windows Remote Desktop Connection with WCSA440e. To run Remote Desktop Connection with WCSA440e, please follow the instructions below.
  1. Start Remote Desktop Connection.
  2. Click Options in the bottom of the window.
  3. Click Local Resources.




  4. Click Settings on Remote audio section.




  5. Under Remote computer sound, click Play on remote computer.
14. Can I install more than 4G RAM with WCSA440e?

You may install 4G RAM under Windows 7 with WCSA440e. This depends on the motherboard you use. If you encounter a problem, please follow the instructions to configure Windows.
  1. Press Start.
  2. Enter msconfig. Click Enter



  3. Go to Boot tab. Click Advanced options ....



  4. Check Maximum memory.



  5. Decrease memory to 4095 or less.

  6. Click OK. Reboot Windows.
